THE PRESIDENT MESSAGE

President, International Society of Tropical Foresters (ISTF), Nigeria Chapter.

It is with great pleasure and a deep sense of responsibility that I welcome you to the official website of the International Society of Tropical Foresters (ISTF), Nigeria Chapter.

This platform marks an important step in strengthening our professional network, promoting knowledge exchange, and advancing sustainable tropical forestry in Nigeria and beyond.

As a chapter committed to excellence, research, innovation, and responsible forest management, we aim to foster collaboration among academics, practitioners, policymakers, students, and development partners.

Our website serves as a hub for information on our conferences, workshops, publications, capacity-building programs, and other initiatives designed to promote biodiversity conservation, climate resilience, and sustainable forest resource management in the tropics.

We invite you to explore our activities, engage with our members, and partner with us as we work collectively to secure a sustainable future for tropical forests.
Together, we can strengthen forestry practice and contribute meaningfully to national and global environmental sustainability goals.

Thank you for visiting, and we look forward to your active participation.

Dr. AGWU Onyebuchi Patrick,
President, ISTF Nigeria Chapter.
